Beef makes you think.

Ever get hungry and lose your concentration? Good nutrition is key to mental development and your thought processes.
  • Even short-term hunger or skipping a meal can negatively affect you.
  • Beef is one of the primary sources of available iron and
    zinc in the U.S. diet.
  • Eating at least 5 to 7 ounces (i.e., 2 to 3 servings per day) of cooked meat, including lean red beef, helps to meet iron and zinc* needs.

*The (US) recommended dietary allowance of zinc from puberty on is 11 micrograms per day for males and 8 micrograms per day for females, with higher amounts recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Zinc to the rescue.

There is a reason herbal cold remedies contain the element zinc.
It’s good for your immune system.
  • Zinc is rich in beef and other animal products, and it
plays a critical role in your immune functions.
  • People with better zinc status or levels are better able to
    fight off infections.
  • Even mild or moderate zinc deficiency can weaken
    immune systems.
